For the older period property

These new products are produced on our new UV lacquer line and so at Billinghay Sawmill we now control all aspects of the production of our flooring from air drying the wood – kilning – machining and finishing the product so unusually you can buy your floor which is genuinely made in England.

The UV lacquer is extremely hard wearing and the final coat leaves a silk matt finish to bring the timber to life but not to appear as a shiny plastic coating on the wood.  We can offer a bespoke service to larger projects in respect to machining and finishing.  The finishes you see can be reproduced on oak engineered flooring with very similar results and therefore all these products could be used over underfloor heating.

Antique Distressed Oak
We have spent considerable time developing this product for the older property where the floor needs to match the age and character of the building.  We have purposely produced a lighter appearance to this product as many reclaimed look floors tend to be excessively dark and darken what are often rooms with little natural daylight so this product will actually lighten a room.  Sold pre-finished only in 3 widths – 100mm, 150mm & 200mm.

Antique Distressed Larch
This product is distressed, tinted and finished with 6 coats of UV lacquer.  It is a less expensive distressed look floor, possibly for use in bedrooms etc in an older property.  The base timber is Siberian Larch which is one of the most durable softwoods.  It is much more hard wearing than redwoods or spruce.  Sold pre-finished only in 2 widths – 125mm & 185mm.
